MACOUPIN COUNTY, Ill. (KMOX) - The Major Case Squad now suspects foul play is involved in the disappearance of Denita Hedden in Macoupin County.

Authorities think that because of evidence recovered during the investigation, which has so far spanned 12 days. No word on what that evidence is.

A news release says the Major Case Squad has a person of interest in mind, but no one is in custody.

Hedden disappeared late the night of January 25. She was last seen on Catalpa Lane in Royal Lakes around 11 p.m. that night.
