Another child dies this week after being shot Monday night

Investigators right now are calling this a suspicious death.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The St. Louis Police Child Abuse Unit and Homicide are investigating the shooting death of another child. 11-year-old Charnija Keys was taken to the hospital, but died.

It happened Monday night, after 11:30, in the 1500 block of North 20th, in the Carr Square neighborhood. Investigators right now are calling this a suspicious death.

In addition to the 11-year old fatal shooting, there have been four other shootings since yesterday in St. Louis.

Around 4:30 Monday afternoon, in the 3800 block of Nebraska, a 13-year old boy who told police an acquaintance asked him if he wanted to ride in a stolen car. When the child accepted, the other juvenile shot him.
