ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Grant's Farm is grieving the loss of two of its African elephants, Toby and Mickey, who both passed away this week.

In a news release, the farm says the deaths do not appear to be related.

"Toby was 38 years old, which is 14 years more than the 24-year median age for a male African elephant. Mickey, a 34 year-old female African elephant, had been suffering from a brain tumor for the past several years," the release says.

In a Facebook post, Grant's Farm asks that followers share their "best Mickey and Toby memories, stories or photos."

"Both were cherished members of our Grant’s Farm family and will truly be missed," the farm says.

Earlier this year, in March, another African elephant of Grant's Farm, Bud, died from a respiratory infection.
