Guns 'n Hoses, the annual event putting first responders in the ring to raise money for 'The Backstoppers', is tonight.

Enterprise Center is sold out. But that doesn't mean you have to miss it.

"We've got a great opportunity for people who don't have tickets," Organizer Steve Holley told KMOX's Michael Calhoun. "Go to Ballpark Village and enjoy the event! There, you can learn about who we are, what we do, why we do it, and how we do it! We're trying to get the young folks involved and let them know what the cause is and what's going on. It's not about boxing, it's about taking care of those families."

They hope to raise more than $700,000 for the families of fallen officers and firefighters. If they hit their goal, it would be a significant chunk of Backstoppers' budget.

"We have 18 matches: 14 of those will be boxing, three of those will be mixed martial arts, and we're also introducing kickboxing this year."

Holley says the biggest change he's seen over the last three decades is fewer gimmicks and more serious training, by boxers who've been more serious athletes. He also says people appreciate the inclusion of women in the competition.

If you can't make it to Ballpark Village or the event itself tonight, you can stream the fights here:
