At the corner of Mason and Ladue Roads... sits Bellerive Country Club.

Once dubbed "The Green Monster of Ladue" (it's actually in Town and Country), the 7,300-yard layout is heavily wooded in some areas, wide open in others, easily navigated by an extensive cartpath system... and yes, very green.

So, once you're on the property, what are some of the best spots to see the action? Here are a few:

6 tee or green

Near the tee box, there is plenty of shade... and it gives a great vantage point of one of the most difficult shots on the course. No. 6 is a 213-yard par 3 protected by water, especially if the pin is located on the right side of the green. From 6 tee, you can see players approaching No. 5 and No. 8. From behind the green, you can watch players try to get a small area from a far distance.

14 green

Rising above the action, the 14th green also overlooks several holes: 12 tee, 15 tee, 11 green, 12 tee and in the distance, the picturesque par 3 No. 3.

18 green

With a stadium-like atmosphere, the grandstands surround the finishing hole with a short hillside near the green that provides a good look... granted, you get there in plenty of time to see your favorite group.
