Alderwoman Starts Go Fund Me for Housing Complex Upgrades

February 13, 2018 - 10:32 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A new Go-Fund-Me campaign is looking to raise money to help residents of a St. Louis housing complex.

It was set up by city Alderwoman Christine Ingrassia, whose 6th Ward includes the Clinton Peabody neighborhood.

Ingrassia says the city's Housing Authority is working on both short- and long-term solutions to permanently address on-going concerns, like an infestation of mice.

The property's overseen by the U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development, therefore Ward 6 capital funds can't be used to address the problem.

Reaching a goal of 5-thousand dollars will trigger a 2-to-1 match from a local foundation.
