ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) — St. Charles County officials are reminding you to keep an eye out for emergency vehicles after someone smashed into an ambulance Friday night.

It happened at about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mexico and Muegge Roads.

The St. Charles County Ambulance District says the ambulance came to a stop, sounded its air horn several times, and tried to cross the intersection on Mexico. However, it was hit by a crossing vehicle near the patient compartment.

There wasn't a patient being transported at the time, and no one was hurt, including the two paramedics in the ambulance.
