ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - More than a year later, charges have now been filed in connection with the desecration of a Jewish cemetery in north St. Louis County.

Alzado Harris, 34, is accused of toppling up to 120 gravestones at the Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in the 7500 block of Olive Boulevard between Feb. 17 and Feb. 20, 2017.

Damages to the cemetery topped more than $30,000, and prompted not only a community-wide outpouring of help to fix the damages, but visits from Vice President Mike Pence and Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens.

Harris is jailed on $20,000 bond for felony vandalism.
