Harding, Damon, Abdul-Jabbar and more: Which athlete are you picking to win this season?

April 30, 2018 - 1:08 pm

The 26th season of Dancing With The Stars begins tonight and this year will be very attractive to sports fans across the U.S., since each of the 10 contestants are current or retired athletes.

Among them are NFL cornerback Josh Norman, Olympians Jamie Anderson, Chris Mazdzer, Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon, NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and retired MLB outfielder Johnny Damon. But possibly one of the most well-known contestants – thanks to a recent movie release –  is former Olympian figure skater Tonya Harding.

You'd think the Olympic figure skaters would have the best shot, seeing as they're the best in the world at learning and perfecting routines. But you can't overlook the pure athleticism of athletes like USA softball star Jennie Finch and Notre Dame national champion basketball player Arike Ogunbowale.

Here's the odds set by

Mirai Nagasu (figure skater) with Alan Bersten: 7/2

Adam Rippon (figure skater) with Jenna Johnson: 4/1

Josh Norman (NFL) with Sharna Burgess: 6/1

Chris Mazdzer (Olympic luge) with Witney Carson: 9/1

Arike Ogunbowale (NCAA basketball) with Gleb Savchenko: 9/1

Jamie Anderson (Olympic snowboarder) with Artem Chigvintsev: 12/1

Jennie Finch (USA Softball) with Keo Motsepe: 16/1

Johnny Damon (retired MLB) with Emma Slater: 18/1

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (retired NBA) with Lindsay Arnold: 38/1

Tonya Harding (figure skater) with Sasha Farber: 74/1

The Season 26 premier begins at 8 p.m. ET, Monday on ABC.
