ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Beermaker Billy Busch was scheduled to appear in Creve Coeur Municipal Court Wednesday to answer a charge of misdemeanor assault involving a sixth-grade boy.

The case has been continued, according to the Creve Coeur circuit clerk. It is now set for June 27.

Busch, the brewer of Kraftig Beer, is accused of getting physical with an 11-year-old boy he says punched his own son after a basketball game last November at Chaminade.

His attorney, Scott Rosenblum, who has been busy this past month with Gov. Eric Greitens and pop star Nelly, has portrayed the incident as a parent protecting his child.

There is surveillance video of the clash, which has never been released.

Busch has not returned several calls seeking an interview on KMOX.
