ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - (UPDATED 5:20 p.m. Thursday) It looks like beermaker Billy Busch and his lawyer Scott Rosenblum have worked out some sort of deal ahead of Wednesday's scheduled appearance by Busch on a misdemeanor charge of assaulting a boy.

The case goes back to November. Busch was accused of roughing up a sixth-grade boy he claimed had "suckerpunched" his own son after a Chaminade basketball practice.

The Creve Coeur prosecutor says an agreement has been reached - a plea negotiation.

In a plea-bargain, 58-year-old Busch pled guilty to disturbing the peace.

After the settlement, the boy's family released a statement saying they are "pleased to put the incident behind them," and "pleased Mr. Busch acknowledges he is wrong and accepts responsibility for his reprehensible actions."
