ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko completed the "#VedroChallenge" without even breaking a sweat. The six-year NHL veteran posted video on Instagram Monday, after completing the social media puck shooting challenge.

Juding by the video, Tarasenko was at the St. Louis Mills Ice Zone, when on his second try he landed a puck into a bucket with a saucer pass from about 100-feet away.

The trend began in Russia and has now moved to the U.S. as more NHL players have been challenged by their teammates. You complete the challenge by flipping a puck into a small bucket from distance. The american translation of #VedroChallenge is #BucketChallenge (vedro means bucket in English). Tarasenko was challenged by fellow Russian pros Anton Burdasov and Jori Lehtera. He then passed it along to Nail Yakupov and Ivan Barbashev.

Some players are doing it blindfolded and adding some dancing flare as celebration:

Tarasenko's 2017-18 season ended with shoulder surgery, after suffering an injury in the last game of the season. He was expected to be fully recovered by the start of Blues training camp. He had 66 points last season, to follow three straight seasons with more than 70 points.
