ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Calling it the "all-American pair," Anheuser-Busch announced the collaboration of Budweiser beer and Jim Beam bourbon, creating a new beer -- the Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager.

The Copper Lager is brewed with two-row barley and aged on Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves to create a toasted oak aroma and deliciously nutty taste, with caramel rye and vanilla notes, a news release says.

"The world’s most valuable beer brand and the world’s No. 1 bourbon brand share impressive histories of persevering through the Prohibition era while they were not able to produce their signature products," the release says, and the limited-edition collaborative brew will be unveiled to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition.

Starting this month, the two brands will start appearing together at bars and retail venues, just in time for baseball season.

The Copper Lager will be released in September.
