It's not for smokers or on-site sellers of marijuana, either.

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) — It's being called "Missouri's Largest Cannabis Expo"... but you'll have to go to Illinois to experience it.

The two-day event is Tuesday and Wednesday at the Gateway Center in Collinsville. The event is geared toward budding entrepreneurs.

Jen Winn from the Cannabis Industrial Marketplace explains why they put on these shows.

"We try to educate people getting into the business by having seminars all day," Winn was on KMOX's with guest hosts Bo Matthews and KEZK's Trish Gazall. "Whether it's the legal side, financial side, or people thinking about extraction."

Winn says they often go to states where marijuana is close to being legalized in some form.

You can hear the full interview in the audio at the top of this page.

She says no smoking and cannabis containing T-H-C will be allowed on site.

Among the speakers Tuesday and Wednesday will be Andrea Balkenbush, who's a compliance director with Missouri's health department - and Joseph Wright who formerly led Illinois' medical cannabis program.
