Capitals Hold Intense Axe-Throwing Competition on Off Day

It's scary, but makes a lot of sense why Alex Ovechkin would be good at this.

The Washington Capitals held a heated battle of medieval warfare during their off day in Canada, Tuesday. 

The defending Stanley Cup champions visited Forged Axe Throwing in Whistler, BC. And we learned just how scary good Alex Ovechkin is with an axe.

The team did well to all have matching plaid, flannel shirts and hats. And it was an even bigger accomplishment that everyone stayed off the IR.

But in the end, it looks like a champion was crowned – former St. Louis Blues forward TJ Oshie.
