JUPITER, Fla. (KMOX) - After a dazzling 2018 season, Jack Flaherty took to the mound to face hitters for the first time of the 2019 spring on Tuesday morning, toeing the rubber on Field 3 at the St. Louis Cardinals' spring training complex.

Monday's parking lot chat with Paul DeJong: "This is a big league lot with some big league cars"

Flaherty started 28 games for the Cardinals last season, posting an 8-9 record and 3.34 ERA in 151 innings, while striking out 182. The righthander finished fifth in National League Rookie of the Year voting, and also got the news on Tuesday that he will appear in the Cardinals' first Grapefruit League game on Saturday along with Miles Mikolas.
