ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Cardinals rookie outfielder Tyler O'Neill made one of best catches you will see all season at Busch Stadium, Thursday.

In the top of the 4th inning in the Cardinals matchup against Colorado Rockies, a fly ball off the bat of Trevor Story seemed destined to land just inside the right field line and go for extra bases. Then O'Neill went full Superman dive and saved at least one run for St. Louis.

Unfortunately, a few hits and a throwing error by pitcher Miles Mikolas later, and Colorado had a one-run lead by the end of the 4th inning. As of the sixth inning, St. Louis down 2-1, but O'Neill has the Cardinals only RBI thanks to a sac-fly in the third inning that scored Mikolas from third. O'Neill also has a walk and hit in the game.

O'Neill has played in 21 games for St. Louis this year and has been used at all three outfield positions. He's made only one error in 96 innings of work.

And at the plate he's not too bad either. O'Neill is hitting .271 with an OPS of .773 and should be getting a lot more playing time the rest of this season with the departure of Tommy Pham via trade.
