ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A local chiropractor is sentended to two-and-a-half years in prison for bribing St. Louis police officers to get the names of accident victims he could solicit as customers.

Mitchell Davis, of City Health and Chiropractic on Lindell Boulevard, was paying the police $5 to $15 a name for those accident victims.
"It's very disheartening to see numerous police officers falling prey to offers of cash to turn over information that is confidential - that they know is confidential, and that they know was going to be misused," Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Albus says.
The judge fined Davis $350,000, and ordered him to pay back almost $700,000 in restitution.

At least four St. Louis police officers are implicated in the scheme, which ran from 2007 through 2016. Two have pleaded guilty, and two more are awaiting trial.

The chiropractor's wife also pleaded guilty to offering the officers bribes and awaits sentencing.
