ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A special painting's expected to make its way through Missouri, Sunday, on a seven-day relay from Colorado Springs to Washington DC.

Eleven Civil Air Patrol wings across the U.S. are passing on artist & former CAP cadet Rick Broome's "Total Force Partners" creation.

It shows a Cessna 182 being intercepted by an Air Force F-16 during a training exercise.

While in the St. Louis area, its handlers will be stopping to get a photo with it by the Lewis and Clark historic campsite and the Gateway Arch.

The painting's on its way to the Pentagon for the 70th anniversary celebration of the Civil Air Patrol. That's the an all-volunteer U.S. Air Force auxiliary unit.
