College Basketball Player Kicked Off Campus After Technical Foul

The play is being labeled among the dirtiest plays ever seen in college basketball.

The game was between Division-III schools Fitchburg State University and Nichols College and the play is being labeled among the dirtiest ever seen in college basketball. Kewan Platt, a junior guard for Fitchburg has been barred from campus for the incident that happened in Massachusetts, Tuesday night.

Platt threw an elbow to the face of Nate Tenaglia of Nichols College, the video has since gone viral:

Commissioner of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Angela Baumann issued a statement following Platt’s indefinite suspension:

“The MASCAC and Fitchburg State University take this incident very seriously. We are appalled by the actions of the student-athlete.

“He has been indefinitely suspended from the team and barred from campus. In addition, the case is under review by Fitchburg State for consideration of further sanctions. The MASCAC has also vacated his player of the week award. His behavior goes against the MASCAC’s mission which includes good sportsmanship. On behalf of the MASCAC and Fitchburg State, we apologize to the Nichols College student-athlete, the team and institution.”

Nichols went on to win the game, 84-75.
