ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An area in Jefferson county that went big for Trump and Greitens two years ago instead voted for a democrat yesterday.  27-year-old Michael Revis beat 59-year-old republican David Linton 52-to-48 percent. He says his win has lessons for democrats in other parts of Missouri.

"I think the biggest thing is to remember that we're in the heartland, we're in the midwest. So democrats here are a little different than democrats might be on the coast," he says.

He says he focused on labor issues. The 97th state house district runs from Fenton to Arnold.
