ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - We know Paul Goldschmidt's stats, accomplishments and accolades, but what about the type of person and teammate he is? We had that question answered by Daniel Descalso, who has played the last two seasons in Arizona with the six-time All-Star.

He joined our Chris Hrabe after the trade announcement, Wednesday and gave Goldschmidt just about the best compliment you can give a player (especially if you're about to be a St. Louis Cardinals first baseman).

"I hesitate to do this because he had the best first 10 years of anyone that baseball has ever seen, but he's got a lot of Albert in him," Descalso says. "The things that he does so well and his presence in the community, obviously when I played with Albert it was his 10th year in, Goldy has got about six or seven, but that's as close of a comparison as I can get.

"So Cardinals fans are lucky to be getting a superstar like Goldy."
