Donations Pour In For Fatal Carjacking Victim's Family

More than $200,000 had been raised for the family as of Friday afternoon.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Donations are pouring in for the family of the woman who was shot and killed in front of her children in St. Louis.  

Authorities say Porsha Owens was gunned down Monday morning during an attempted carjacking.  

A GoFundMe account was set up to pay for her funeral and to help support her three young children.  

More than $200,000 had been raised for the family as of Friday afternoon.

Police say she was the victim of a failed carjacking. The gunman demanded her keys and money, but couldn't start the vehicle and ran away. 

An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged. Mark Haywood faces multiple counts, including second-degree murder and robbery. He is being held on a $1 million cash-only bond.
