ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  Police like donuts - right?

Today a child crisscrossing America will be in St. Louis to bring a big "thank you" and plenty of their favorite treats to local officers.

Tayler Carach is on a 27 state, 50,000 donut mission.

He's called the "Donut Boy" - and has spent parts of the past 18 months going to police stations and thanking officers for the work they do.

Later this morning, Tyler will be making a stop at the St. Louis Police Department's mounted patrol stables in Forest Park.

This all traces back to August 2016 when Tyler asked his mother if he could use allowance money to buy donuts for some of his local sheriff's deputies.  She said yes and here we are many months and many states later.
