EAST ALTON, Ill. (KMOX) - The East Alton fire department was called to Van Preter Park at 6:30 p.m. Monday, to assist a teenager who was stuck in a baby swing. The teen was embarrassed but not hurt, stated a Facebook post by the fire department.

Apparently he was dared to get into the swing, and the firefighters had to take it down and remove the swing from the chains.

The social media post included a photo of the swing sitting on the bumper of a fire truck.

"At approximately 1830 hours, 4311 was dispatched to Van Preter Park for a person stuck in a swing. Upon arrival, a teenage subject was found stuck in a child swing. Firefighters removed the seat of the swing from the chains and freed the subject, who was embarrassed, but uninjured.

"Today's PSA: If you're not a child, you shouldn't try to use the child-size swing, even if your friend dares you to."
