Express Scripts Adds 100 New Jobs to St. Louis Headquarters

July 19, 2018 - 10:32 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Not every acquisition involving a local company results in bad news. Express Scripts is adding 100 jobs to its north St. Louis county headquarters for its subsidiary called Evi-core, which helps doctors manage their patients' benefits.

“We help make sure that every time a patient is given a medicine or is signed up for a medical procedure that they’re getting the right one, the most affordable one, and the one that’s going to get them to the best outcome,” says VP  Brian Henry.

Henry says the advice from Evi-core helps keep health care costs down.

The 100 new workers will be part of a new provider service center here. Henry says the talent pool in the region helped make this decision easy.

“We can’t think of a better place where we’d rather be adding employees,” he says.

Express Scripts bought Evi-core for $3.6 billion. The deal closed in December.
