Fans To Design Jersey For Upcoming Gateway Grizzlies Game

June 04, 2018 - 8:50 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Gateway Grizzlies have no idea what their jerseys will look like on September 1 – that's because they're waiting for their fans to design them.

One of St. Louis' independent professional baseball teams is holding a competition to see who can come up with the best jersey design.

It's the first time the Grizzlies, who play home games at GCS Credit Union Ballpark in Sauget, Ill., have held a competition like this. The contest is open to anyone, just go to and download a blank jersey (front and back).

The only rules are that "Grizzlies" must appear on the front and it must be original artwork (no photos, profanity or adult content allowed). Make sure your submission is entered before June 25 at 5 p.m.

The winner will be announced on July 12, and will be given four field box seats to the Sept. 1 Fan Appreciation Night Game, their own personalized jersey signed by the entire Gateway Grizzlies baseball team, a ceremonial first pitch, and a picture with a Grizzlies player.
