St.. Clair TNR & Rescue

KMOX's July Voice of Caring partner is St. Clair TNR & Rescue!

St. Clair TNR and Rescue volunteers are committed to reducing the number of cats and dogs entering our local animal control.  They do this by training cat caregivers on the technique of TNR (trap-neuter-return), helping pet owners and caretakers find low-cost spay and neuter options, suggesting pet retention methods and rescuing and finding forever homes for cats and dogs.

Founded in 2017, St. Clair TNR & Rescue is based in Belleville, Illinois and is part of a coalition of groups striving to make St. Clair County a no-kill community by 2021.  To reach this important goal, the community cat population of St. Clair County will need to be stabilized through TNR efforts and adoption of unwanted cats and dogs must increase.

How can you help?  Check out the cats and dogs we have available for adoption at Petfinder.com.  We have also partnered with the PetSmart store in Belleville to host monthly meet-and-greet events with animals looking for their forever homes.  Our group is looking for families who want to foster a cat or dog in their home until adopted.  St. Clair TNR and Rescue can use donations of humane cat traps and food and beds for our rescue animals.  If you are staying at home during the coronavirus, you could help remotely with marketing, volunteer recruitment and recordkeeping.

We believe that one day they will be all home!
