First Hawley, McCaskill Debate Happening Today

September 14, 2018 - 7:57 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The first debate in Missouri's big Senate race is set for today and the Republican challenger is revving up his supporters.

At a pre-debate rally in Ballwin, Josh Hawley called on McCaskill to release her full tax returns, not just a two-page summary.

“My wife and I have released our returns, I’m sure you’ve all seen them by now, our family returns, I just said that she should do what we’ve done and release her family returns,” he says.

Hawley says he also wants to use the debate to contrast McCaskill's agenda with that of Missouri voters who supported Trump. McCaskill is expected to hit Hawley with the healthcare issue, claiming his agenda would hurt people with pre-existing conditions.

That debate is set for Friday afternoon in Westport.
