More flooding means more road closures for area drivers

IDOT excepts more problems due to rising waters

Alton, IL (KMOX) - More flooding woes for drivers in Illinois.

State transportation officials have closed northbound U.S. 67 at Illinois 100 in Alton.  One southbound lane has also been closed. 

IDOT says it anticipates U.S. 67 will be completely shut down by Tuesday morning.

 Illinois 100 remains closed between Alton and Route 16 in Jersey County, along with Interstate 55 outside of Prarie Du Rocher.  The Brussels Ferry is also shut down due to flooding.
