SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) - The son of the founder of a popular southeast Missouri restaurant has been indicted on several sex crimes.

The Springfield News-Leader reports 50-year-old Benjamin Lambert, who was previously involved in running the Lambert's Cafe location in Ozark, Missoui, was indicted on five charges by a grand jury earlier this month.

Court documents acquired by the News-Leader say Lambert, 50, enticed two children to participate in a sex act for money and also filmed sexual contact involving the two children. The documents also say Lambert had a nude photo of a child in his home and used that home address in Missouri for prostitution purposes.

The crimes were committed between April and August 2015, the court documents say.

Lambert was arrested last week and was being held on a $100,000 bond. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.

Lambert's Cafe gave a statement on the indictment, stating Benjamin P. Lambert had "not been active in the management of the store in recent years." His parents, Earl and Agnes Lambert opened the first Lambert's location in Sikeston, Mo. in 1942.

The statement continues, "This indictment is strictly related to Ben’s personal life, but, if asked, we will cooperate with authorities. Lambert’s would never condone behavior of this nature. Lambert’s Cafe will continue to be a destination for family entertainment."
