ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A frost advisory has been issued for St. Louis that will take effect at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Accuweather is forecasting temperatures as low as 32 degrees for portions of east-central and southeast Missouri and south-central and southwest Illinois. Light winds and clear skies will result in frost formation.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

For some counties west of St. Louis and Jefferson counties, a freeze warning has been issued and will take effect at 3 a.m.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are forecast in these areas.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and could also damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Cardinals fans heading downtown should dress appropriately as cold temperatures will chill Busch Stadium during Game 1 of the NLCS tonight.
