The summer is just around the corner, and that means summer driving season is approaching.

Prices at the pump are expected to top $3 a gallon for unleaded gasoline in many parts of the country in the next few weeks, as many of us will embark on road trips with the family.

Experts say the signs of high demand for fuel are there, and some believe it may be tax cuts that are encouraging consumers to drive more, and the fact that unemployment is low. Drivers are also favoring sports utility vehicles over cars.

The Northeast is expected to see the biggest increase in gas prices over the next few weeks.
