Governor, Police to Hold Branson Press Conference

July 20, 2018 - 8:06 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Missouri Governor Mike Parson will join Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader and Highway Patrol officials at a nine o'clock for a press conference updating the situation at Table Rock Lake.

Rader says one of his officers survived the capsizing.

“There was actually a Stone County sheriff’s deputy on the boat. He was in the water rescuing people, there was also some of the staff trying to help the rescue,” he says.

In the meantime there's no information yet on the victims' identities or where they were from. Their families have been told to meet at the Branson City Hall.

The Missouri Highway Patrol dive team is now on the scene. The Western Taney County Dive Team was there until 11:30 last night.

The National Transportation Safety Board says one of its teams will arrive at the lake this morning. It's asking anyone with videos or photos of the accident to email them at witness@ntsb.org.
