ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The former FBI agent now assisting the Circuit Attorney's office investigating Eric Greitens was once under investigation himself.

The Post-Dispatch is reporting William Don Tisaby was once accused of bigamy and then lying to investigators about it. The 65-year old is now head of an out-of-state law firm that Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is using to investigate the Governor.

The report says Tisaby was married and then married someone else in 1998 before his divorce was final.   It says Tisaby claimed he believed his divorce was final, but investigators had evidence to suggest otherwise. He was demoted and suspended over the issue.

Greitens' attorneys could use the case to attack Tisaby's credibility during trial.
