Josh Hawley Challenges McCaskill at 'Let's Debate' Event

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Attorney General Josh Hawley isn't wasting time gearing up for November's general election.

Wednesday the Republican U.S. Senate candidate showed up in St. Charles for his first "Let's Debate" event. He’s challenging his opponent, Democrat incumbent Claire McCaskill, to go around the state debating with him atop a flatbed trailer.

“Come here to this truck, we’ll go all around the state, you and me, one on one, we’ll debate as long as it takes, we’ll debate all the issues, we’ll open it up to everybody. Let’s give the people of this state the debate and the campaign they deserve,” he says.

Hawley says McCaskill isn't there because she's hiding behind Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the millions of out of state dollars that are pouring into the race.
