Judge to Consider Appointing Special Prosecutor in Tisaby Perjury Case

June 20, 2018 - 10:21 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Allegations of lies under oath in the run-up to the Eric Greitens sex case are the subject of a hearing set for later this morning in St. Louis Circuit Court.

It has to do with William Tisaby, the out-of-state chief investigator hired by Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, is under investigation for perjury.  A judge this morning will consider a motion filed by the City Counselor asking that a special prosecutor be appointed to dig deeper.  The special prosecutor would have the power to issue subpoenas looking for more evidence, and possibly present a case to a grand jury.

We don't know if the judge will rule on the spot, or take a few days to decide what to do.
