Justin Thomas Talks 'Lollapalooza' of PGA Championship With Jimmy Fallon

Thomas told a story about how he realized that no one was cheering from him, they were really cheering for Tiger on another hole.

The PGA Championship was here and gone in the span of a week, but people are still talking about the Tiger Woods mania that took place. Most recently a conversation came up during The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Justin Thomas was on the show to play a game called Facebreaker against Fallon, but before that, they talked about Thomas's experience. Woods finished 2nd and Thomas was tied for sixth, but a moment stuck out from Thomas' round on Sunday afternoon:

"I had a par putt on 17 on Sunday, about a five-footer, and at that point, I didn’t have a chance to win. And I made the putt and I’m walking off the green, and everyone just went nuts. And I’m like, ‘That’s weird. Why are they going so crazy?’ And I turned around, and they put Tiger made another birdie up on the scoreboard. So I was like, ‘Yeah, they’re not cheering for me.'"

Surely he wasn't only one to feel that way. The winner Brooks Koepka even talked about hearing the cheers for Woods from everywhere on that golf course.
