HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KMOX) — The performances are over, and now Kennedy Holmes waits.

The Florissant siren, who just turned 14th not even two weeks ago, may be on the verge of winning this season's "The Voice" competition.

At the beginning of the season, coach Blake Shelton predicted Holmes would win the whole thing. Last night, after a rousing performance of "Confident", host Carson Daly noted the crowd was "as loud as its ever been".

The coach that Holmes chose, Jennifer Hudson, was beside herself after the "Confident" performance.

"This girl just turned 14, ya'll! And that was a true professional right there!"

Holmes, along with the rest of America, will find out if she beat out three others tonight at 8 p.m. CT. "The Voice" airs locally on KSDK Newschannel 5.
