LimeBike Offers Assistance to Low Income Riders

May 29, 2018 - 7:22 am

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - LimeBike, one of the relatively new bike sharing companies in town, is offering a new option for low income users.

Those who can prove the need can prepay $5 and get 100 rides - that's five cents a ride. You're eligible if you're signed up for a state or federal aid program.

Although LimeBike primarily runs through smart phones, those without them can text the company to unlock a bike. Those without credit cards can pay cash for the rides at a "Pay Near Me" location - some Family Dollar, CVS and 7-11 stores are participating in that.
