Local Chef Hosts Royal Wedding Breakfast Watch Party

May 09, 2018 - 7:47 am

ST. .LOUIS (KMOX) - Across the United States, fans of the British royal family will be getting up really, really early to watch the May 19th nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Chef Liz Schuster of Tenacious Eats is going all out with a royal wedding watch party. You can watch it on the ‘telly’, eat wedding cake, and drink mimosas, along with traditional British fare.

“Everyone’s going to get a tradition English breakfast of two ‘bangers’, two eggs to order, the traditional beans, chips and a tomato,” she says.

Schuster says she's been obsessed with the royal family for years, and was one of the many Americans who got up in the middle of the night to watch the wedding of Princess Diana.

The watch party will have a 5 a.m. seating at West End Grill, and then they'll replay the whole experience for those who feel 8 a.m. is more appropriate on a Saturday. You can attend in your pajamas or dress like royalty, and a British guard and a ginger spice impersonator will also be on hand for selfies.
