Troy, IL (KMOX) -  A Metro East pastor diagnosed with COVID-19 last Friday told his story on You Tube.

Pastor Tim Lewis of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, Ill. had returned from a mission trip to Ukraine earlier this month, flying to Munich, Atlanta, then St. Louis.  Lewis says when he returned he went home to stay in isolation.

"I decided I'd better quarantine myself from traveling, since there was so much information about this virus going on," explains Lewis.  "After being here a couple of days I began to have some symptoms.  I'm glad I didn't go anywhere.  I stayed quarantined."

Lewis says he was unable to get tested in Madison County, so he drove into St. Louis to be tested at a drive-though site.  He waited 6 six days for results.  He says he has stayed in seclusion the entire time and has not seen family or his congregation in person.

Lewis says his symptoms have included a continual cough, severe headache, chest heaviness, a slight fever and listlessness.
