Local Restaurants Raise Money to Support Mike Arnold

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Friends of Gus Gus Fun Bus owner Mike Arnold have increased the goal for their GoFundMe effort to help pay his medical bills and several area restaurants are coming to his aid.

Yesterday they were hoping to raise $10,000 for Mike, but they already reached that goal and are now looking to raise $25,000.

At last report Arnold was in critical condition after being run over after witnessing a carjacking in downtown St. Louis Saturday. Police say the suspects hit him and another man intentionally, because Mike was trying to record the crime on his cellphone.

20-year-old Curtis Alford of Maplewood is charged with ten felonies in the case. His alleged accomplice, 18-year-old Jana Stowers of East St. Louis is charged with two.
