Man Charged With Spray-Painting Hundreds of Headstones

McLean is being held on $100,000 bond.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A 34-year-old man is now officially charged with spray-painting hundreds of headstones at a Glen Carbon cemetery over Memorial Day weekend.
Timothy McLean of Glen Carbon was arrested Saturday evening after up to 200 tombstones at Sunset Hills Cemetery -- plus some nearby homes -- were painted with swastikas early Saturday.
He now faces three counts of hate crime, three counts of institutional vandalism, and one count of criminal damage to property, as well as violating the cemetery protection act.
McLean is being held on $100,000 bond.
