ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - (UPDATED 4 p.m.) Maplewood police are releasing more details about a hit-and-run that killed a 62-year-old man Monday.

Albert Johnson, of Maplewood, was reportedly crossing Big Bend just north of Manchester, outside the crosswalk, when he lost his balance and fell into the back of a box truck heading south on Big Bend.

The driver of that truck was stopped a couple of miles down the road -- police say he didn't know what happened.

They don't anticipate filing charges, but the investigation continues.
