Man Goes To Court To Legally Change His Age

They say 69 is the new 49. Well, at least one man says that - the Dutch man has launched a legal battle to ask the courts change his age.

Emile Ratelband argues that if people can swap their gender in the eyes of the law, he should have a similar privilege, asking the BBC, "Why can't I decide my own age?"

Ratelband claims that at 69 he doesn't get enough responses on Tinder, and listing himself 20 years younger will make him more desirable.

"When I'm 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position," he says.

A court in the Netherlands will take up the case, issuing a ruling in about four weeks.
