FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOX) — A McCluer High School student is in custody after allegedly bringing a loaded gun on campus Tuesday.

Florissant Police say school officials and the police resource officer immediately found the student and the handgun. That student is now in custody as the St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office considers charges.

A second student, who is a juvenile, was also arrested for reportedly hiding the gun in a book bag. That student was referred to St. Louis County Family Court.

Police have not revealed any other details of the incident.

This is the second time this week a student in the St. Lous metro area has been caught with a gun at school.
