ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An Illinois congressman is hoping troubles with a developer linked to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency site in north St. Louis will help swing the deal over to St. Clair County.

Congressman Mike Bost says the allegations of tax credit fraud by developer Paul McKee puts the St. Louis NGA site in question -- was the site fraudulently obtained?, he asks.

"I'm asking for a meeting with the director to reconsider - at least consider where we're at, and the timeline that we're looking at, because as we're moving foward, NGA is not something that should be put on hold while we argue over whether something was obtained correctly," Bost says.

A site in St. Clair County is available and they're ready to move -- "The offer is still on the table from the county," he says.

A spokesman for the NGA says they received Bost's letter, and he will likely get a meeting with the NGA director to air his concerns. But it's unlikely the decision to build in north St. Louis could be reversed at this time.
