Mizzou DE Tre Williams Suspended Indefinitely After Arrest

Mizzou defensive end Tre Williams will be away from the Tigers football team for the foreseeable future after his arrest on Sunday for domestic assault.

Mizzou football head coach Barry Odom released a statement, saying the 21-year-old has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities. KMOX has learned Williams posted a $4,500 bond, but no other details about the incident have been released.

Odom told Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "We were made aware of the situation yesterday, and Tre was immediately suspended indefinitely from all team activities. We will provide an update if his status changes."

Williams is a redshirt sophomore, who is third on the team with  2.5 sacks this season.

The Tigers play Oklahoma State in the Liberty Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
