Monday's Cardinals, Cubs Game Postponed Due To Frigid Temperatures

The St. Louis Cardinals are in Chicago for a three-game series against the Cubs – there have been no changes announced for Tuesday and Wednesday's games.

The St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs game, schedule for Monday night, has been postponed. Temperatures in Chicago are expected to drop into the 30's, with a windchill in the 20's for what would have been a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.

The game has been rescheduled to be the first game of a double-header on July 21. The make-up game will be played at 12:05 p.m. and will be followed by the regularly scheduled night game at 6:15 p.m.

MLB has now postponed 22 games this season, dude to rain, snow and low temperatures – in Kansas City it 31 degrees in Kansas City with an 18 mph wind, making it feel like 20 degrees, Sunday. The 21 games that have been called this season is the most before the ende of april since 2007 – there were 26 that year, but we've got two and a half more weeks this month. 

Tuesday's Cardinals-Cubs game is still set for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch and Wednesday is set to start at 1:20 p.m.
